The damage done by Bush in so many areas can never be totally undone. Thousands have died in the US, a million or more in Iraq, while he play-acted at being actor Ronald Reagan. His worst malfeasance may turn out to be obfuscating global warming/climate change.

Graphic images that reveal the devastating impact of global warming in the Arctic have been released by the US military. The photographs, taken by spy satellites over the past decade, confirm that in recent years vast areas in high latitudes have lost their ice cover in summer months.

The pictures, kept secret by Washington during the presidency of George W Bush, were declassified by the White House last week. President Barack Obama is currently trying to galvanise Congress and the American public to take action to halt catastrophic climate change caused by rising levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.

One particularly striking set of images – selected from the 1,000 photographs released – includes views of the Alaskan port of Barrow. One, taken in July 2006, shows sea ice still nestling close to the shore. A second image shows that by the following July the coastal waters were entirely ice-free.

  1. The “ice free” photo is so obviously touched up it belongs in the Colin Powell “let’s go to Iraq to get those WMD’s” file.

Satellite photographs have been publicly available for years. This is no secret to anyone who cares to look.

The bigger secret is GW’s energy efficient ranch versus Al Gores spendthrift estate and life style while preaching the opposite.

  2. Sure, you are the classified photo expert. Thanks for taking a break from the Pentagon to post here.
As to your simplistic ad hominems:
what a joke; Bush in 8 years as President = 2,920 days in office.
Time spent at Crawford & Camp David = 977 days
That means he was on vacation for 33% or 1/3 of the time.
Bush’s 77 vacation trips to Crawford cost us $226,072 per trip. Not to mention the enormous emissions of carbon dioxide and other pollutants. And it was just a prop, something was was supposed to make him look like Ronald Reagan.

And his performance in office has pretty well doomed us to global warming.
I’m glad that place is energy efficient, but its insignificant compared to the damage he caused.

AND he doesn’t live there anymore. He moved into a Dallas McMansion.

Gore’s residence was a real dog when he bought it and he’s extensively renovated it, adding geothermal and other changes. He purchases electricity through renewable sources. He’s taken a lot of steps to make it more energy efficient and purchased carbon offsets to bring his net carbon footprint to ZERO. More important, he has convinced millions of people worldwide to make similar changes in their homes and lifestyles.

Given Bush’s record and Gore’s Nobel Peace Prize, I know you have little left but to try to attack the messenger, but your efforts here are laughable. Come back again and provide some more comedy.

  3. Bush kept everything of importance and public interest a secret!
