The IPCC report was probably conservative, but Bali is going Bali-up

Given all the pressure on the IPCC to be “conservative” and not overestimate climate change, it would not be at all surprising if their results underestimate what we will see in the next hundred years. For example, the changes in arctic sea ice this summer were dramatic, and CO2 emissions are far higher than anticipated. We are now within a degree C of being the warmest in a million years.


Changes in sea level seem likely to be faster than anticipated, perhaps 5 or more feet this century…15 feet is not out of the question.

But the US/Bush continues to stonewall. And because of that, Bali will produce nothing. The man has an incredible ability to ignore the suffering he causes.
