Whales in SF Bay, headed for the Golden Gate

Delta and Dawn, the wayward whales that swam 90 miles past the Golden Gate up toward Sacramento, have finally made it back through San Pablo Bay and into the San Francisco Bay. According to the TeeVee at 6pm PDT, the whales are 5 miles from the Golden Gate. Of course, they are going to be crossing ferry routes, so there may be some bargaining on detours. Veterinarians have injected the whales, which have deep lacerations, with antibiotics, and the wounds seem to be healing. They look pretty darn frisky on the TeeVee.

To see a map of their adventure, go here.
