Churchill v. Bush

Churchill said:

“The power of the executive to cast a man into prison without formulating any charge known to the law, and particularly to deny him the judgment of his peers, is in the highest degree odious, and the foundation of all totalitarian government whether Nazi or Communist.”

  1. Yes, but you ignore so many things these two men shared in common. For example:

    Both drank heavily for long intervals.
    Both had American mothers and wealthy American grandfathers.
    Both were children of powerful politicians.
    Both did poorly in school.
    Both had speech impediments (although Churchill outgrew his during childhood).
