Mitt Romney: a liar, a prick, a bully and a coward

“Assault And Battery” By “A Pack Of Dogs”

That’s how one of the witnesses to Romney’s gay-bashing in high school describes the event. Money quote:

“It’s a haunting memory. I think it was for everybody that spoke up about it… because when you see somebody who is simply different taken down that way and is terrified and you see that look in their eye you never forget it. And that was what we all walked away with,” said Phillip Maxwell, who is now an attorney and still considers Romney an old friend.

“I saw it with my own eyes,” said Maxwell, of the anecdote first reported by the Washington Post. Maxwell said Romney held the scissors helping to cut the hair of a student, John Lauber, who was presumed to be gay and who had long hair. “It was a hack job… clumps of hair taken off.” Maxwell said he held the boy’s arm and leg, describing he and his friends as a “pack of dogs.”

Asked if Lauber was targeted because he was gay, as reported by the Post, Maxwell said, “We didn’t know that word in those days… but there were other words that were used. We weren’t ignorant, we just didn’t use the current names for things.” …

“This was bullying supreme,” he said.

Today, Romney actually laughed off the assault. Laughed. We have two options: this man is so callous that, unlike all those others involved in this assault, he has forgotten it. Or he is a liar.

  1. His real confession:

“OK. Maybe I did. What are you gonna do about it, Skolnick? You gonna make a little speech? It’s not gonna do any good. Wanna know why? Because I’m strong and you’re weak. Because I’m the type of guy that everybody here wants to be like, and you are pathetic. That’s the way it is. That’s the way it’s always gonna be, and there’s nothing you or your pencil-neck geek friends can do or say about it. Comprende, d*ckhead?”

Yeah so what it does not matter what kind of racist Mitt Romney or in fact Barrack Obama is they are neither worthy or able to be president of the united states of America. Having a two party system has been the cause of the consistency of unqualified candidates for office in the U S A, not only is the choice limited so drastically, both choices yield the same governance. We as Americans should demand better of ourselves then these choices. We need to get the money out of public service. Strict laws enforced concerning state secrets should be enacted while we make the receiving of any contribution illegal and start strict platform regulations on all lobbyist. Public office should not make you rich it is a job of governance people should be in office for a little while and then go away. We should only have people who are looking to create an environment for growth and development to enrich all people’s lives, but the only way to do that would probably be impossible so we al say pipe dream, why? Is it to much to take a republican and a democrat then smash both thie heads with a big rock? Public executions is what the criminals who run our country deserve, but no, instead we well continue to blame the other guys for the state of things when really it is all our fault for not demanding that our government work for us! Just my $.02 which raises my debt and continues to contribute to a broken system with broken values and broke people.Sorry I didn’t actually read the story I just want my op on here.

    • Both parties are beholden to big money, but the Republican money is corrupt and radically reactionary, rather than “conservative.” As a result we have a plutocracy comprising corporations (many not even American based) and their executives, whose only goal is to maintain the status quo, make the labor market as cheap as possible and retake the government. As a result, we are paralyzed when it comes to taking government steps to deal with the Wall Street recession which they caused, and global warming, which they are causing.
