Recently stumbled across one of those internet sites you wish you’d never visited, but is so fascinatingly weird that you can’t stop going there: The Bigfoot Forums. In a way it’s stranger than the Rapture websites, because the Bigfoot Believers are not talking about something imaginary in the future, they are talking about something imaginary in the here and now, as if it were real. Some of these folks claim several encounters with bigfoot, even claiming to have been up close and personal with bigfoot families!!
I’m not sure why the internet pharmacies aren’t buying advertising on this site..you’d think that many of these folks must be off their meds.
Of course, many can’t spell or write a sentence, either.
Here’s a typical post:
“I watched the new show Hillbilly Handfishing where the guys were in the water noodling catfish. This made me wonder if [bigfoot] does this..”
Soon other believers will jump in with some anecdotal report or personal experience, each trying to top the last; after 8 or ten responses, you’ll be starting to think you’ll see the “Big Guy” sportfishing in Cabo next month.
If you don’t care to skim the site yourself, don’t fret, Over the Line, Smokey! will periodically keep you informed of some of the most hilarious posts.
