Coffins

coffins, originally uploaded by paulbsonm.

It’s time to show the coffins.

Americans have figured out that Iraq is a purposeless, deadly, costly fiasco, in spite of the fact that the media have made every effort to hide it from them.

One of the realities that Bush and his corporate media have hidden is death. They have, by and large, not shown the coffins. “Too shocking.” “Partisan.” “irresponsible.” And Bush has avoided the funerals and doesn’t talk about the casualties.

But now America has figured out that their kids are being killed at an accellerating rate. The coffins will not shock them so very much.

Rather, it may galvanize them.

Bush is still talking victory. Success. Progress. Nobody tells the Decider what to do. Denial continues.

Impeachment may be the only way to stop the madness. But the citizenry has not taken up the torches and pitchforks, and neither have the Democrats in congress given any indication that they will.

It’s time for the coffins to bear witness.

Dems have tried at times to break the ban on showing images of coffins, but timidly backed away when attacked by the Great Noise Machine. Only Keith Olbermann had the courage to defend the importance and appropriateness of showing the coffins.

Let those who have made the ultimate sacrifice have the right to make a last statement.

It’s time to show the coffins.

Tom DeLay’s blog: comments preserved for posterity

only a few of us happened on to the Bugman’s new blog while it was hosting “comments.” After 75 minutes, Tom the Bugbomb realized that not everyone in the world liked him. And most were willing to, shall we say, stretch the limits of good taste in telling him so. So Tommy shut the comments down and wiped em.

But some clever soul snatched em up out of the blogosphere and put them on a fake Tom site. You wanna laugh? YOU WANNA SPLIT A GUT? Go HERE and read what America thinks of Tom DeLay.

The Bonddad Blog. The money place.

here. It’s about money, oil, stocks, loot, coin of the realm, interest rates, graphs and that kind of stuff. The proprietor is pretty smart though I can’t vouch for his breath. Give him a whirl, but wear protection.
